Cherie Harris, B.A.

Cherie's passion is teaching children to become proficient in reading and spelling. She believes there is nothing more fulfilling than seeing the sparkle and excitement in a child’s eyes when they understand and apply the skills that will help them be successful throughout their lives!

 

Cherie is thrilled to see the tremendous progress made by her dyslexic students in acquiring essential skills in reading and spelling. She has a strong desire to help as many students as possible achieve this kind of success.

 

In 2009, Cherie earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Ottawa University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.  She is an experienced teacher who has taught Kindergarten and 1st Grade at American Leadership Academy in Gilbert, Arizona. She is now a Certified Barton Tutor and Teacher/Owner of Bright Beginnings Preschool of Mesa, preparing Pre-K students for success in Kindergarten!

 

Cherie lives in East Mesa with the love of her life, Gary Harris.  In addition to her passion for teaching, Cherie enjoys hosting fun family gatherings, singing, playing the piano, reading a good book, and country dancing with her husband!
