Meriah Houser, B.S.
Meriah got into the field of dyslexia when her two sons were diagnosed with dyslexia. After researching how to help her own children, Meriah realized how few professionals there were working with dyslexic students. As a mom and an educator, she felt the calling to teach dyslexic students ignite. As a dyslexic herself, and with family members with dyslexia, she finds it extremely gratifying to relate to her students so they never have to feel alone and lost.
Meriah is a former Kindergarten Teacher, Certified Barton Tutor, trained in Lindamood-Bell LiPS, RAVE-O, Orton-Gillingham, and Wilson Reading. She has a Bachelors degree in Physical Education from Western Illinois University, and a Teaching Degree in Elementary Education from Ottawa University.
Meriah founded Decoding Dyslexia Arizona in 2013, has served on the board of the Arizona Branch of the International Dyslexia Association, and is a Parent to Parent Leader for Raising Special Kids.
